MUSIC &

AUDIO TECH

Music and Audio Technology immerses students in the world of contemporary music and audio production. In addition to traditional training in music theory, history, performance, composition, and instrument technique (the content), students are offered hands-on studio instruction in basics of MIDI composition, arranging, the elements of analog and digital recording, sound synthesis and live sound/stage production (the tools), with a focus on contemporary musicianship.

Based on college-level curriculum, the music courses at HTHS prepare students for rigorous post-secondary training.

Students graduate with the skills needed to pursue a professional career in music, including sight singing, keyboard proficiency, and an extensive knowledge of music history and its relevance to contemporary music styles.
